I began teaching drums 13 years ago and developed a passion for helping and educating students.  I have taught many grade exams with 100% pass rate whilst accomplishing Grade 8 Trinity/Guildhall syllabus Drum Kit and Grade 5 marching Snare Drum myself.

I tailor my lessons to each individual student’s needs.  This could be picking up the drumsticks for the first time to honing bass drum technique.

I teach sight reading, drum music theory, rudiments, songs and how to break them down, various techniques and fundamentals of playing drums.  

​

I can also give advice on drum kit setup and equipment, ergonomics, good practice routine and listening to music.  

​

Many of my students have found learning grades a useful exercise to map their progression. I teach Trinity syllabus grade exams (although other syllabus are available if students prefer) as they are well recognized and extremely challenging, further building students abilities.  However, if you prefer to just play drums for pure pleasure, I can help you reach your full musical potential!
